Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, board-certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery to join our team. This role is critical in addressing short staffing needs and offers a dynamic blend of 24-hour call coverage and daytime rounding in a high-performing, multidisciplinary environment.
Assignment Details:
- Location: Colorado
- Start Date: June 2025
- Duration: Ongoing assignment
- Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: Daytime rounding (8–5 shift, with 10–13 patients seen per day)
- Call: 7–10 call days per month, including 24-hour call coverage; night-time volume is TBD
- Facility Type: Trauma Level II
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities:
- Provide cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical support in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conduct daytime rounding, managing a consistent caseload and delivering high-quality patient care.
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage as scheduled, ensuring timely responses to patient needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and maintain operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Board Certification/Eligibility: Required
- Certifications: BLS required
- Licensure: Must be willing to obtain a Colorado license if not already licensed
- Credentialing: Estimated to take 30–60 days
Additional Information:
- Travel: Direct flights are available from major hubs including Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Orange County-Santa Ana.
- Credentialing Support: Assistance available for candidates new to the state.
