Position Overview:
Seeking Board-Certified/Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians for ongoing locum assignments at multiple neighborhood emergency departments in San Antonio, TX. These lower-volume sites do not have trauma designations and provide a manageable workload in a well-supported environment.
Assignment Details:
- Location: Texas
- Start Date: ASAP
- Length: Ongoing
- Minimum Shifts: 4 shifts per month
- Shift Times: 7 AM–7 PM, 7 PM–7 AM
- Trauma Level: Not designated
Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care in a lower-volume, community-focused setting.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- No APP supervision required.
Requirements:
- Board Certification: ABEM, AOBEM, or ABFM/ABIM with significant ER experience and active ATLS certification.
- Residency Training: EM, FM, or IM.
- Licensure: Active Texas license preferred; IMLC candidates may be considered.
- Credentialing:
- Standard timeline: ~60 days for a clean file.
- If full board review is required, approvals occur at the beginning of each quarter.
- Expedited privileges are NOT available.
