California | Flexible Locum Assignment
Position Overview:
Seeking a Board-Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist for 24-hour hospital call coverage at a highly regarded medical center. This role involves inpatient consults and emergency procedures with a low patient volume in a supportive and well-established team environment.
Assignment Details:
- Location: California
- Dates: February 3, 4, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, 18, 28 (March & April dates TBD)
- Schedule: 24-hour hospital call
- Volume:
- 2–3 consults per 24 hours
- 1–2 procedures per 24 hours (estimated total workload ~4 hours/day)
- EMR System: Epic
- Procedures: No ERCP or EUS required
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient consults and emergency GI procedures as needed
- Collaborate with a stable and well-integrated gastroenterology team
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Epic EMR
Requirements:
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Licensure: Active California medical license required
- Experience: Case logs from the last 24 months will be required
- Response Time: Must be within 30 minutes of the hospital (hotel accommodations provided if needed)
