Position Overview:
Seeking Board-Certified/Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians for an ongoing locum assignment across multiple hospital locations in Birmingham, AL. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling with 12-hour shifts and a well-supported clinical environment.
Assignment Details:
- Location: Alabama
- Start Date: ASAP
- Length: Ongoing
- Minimum Shifts: No minimum requirement, but 60 shifts need coverage per month
- Shift Times: 7 AM–7 PM, 7 PM–7 AM
- Trauma Level: All facilities are Level III Trauma Centers
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care in a well-resourced environment.
- Work alongside full backup specialty coverage at all locations.
- No APP supervision required.
Requirements:
- Board Certification: ABEM, AOBEM, or ABFM/ABIM with extensive ER experience and active ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Residency Training: EM, FM, or IM.
- Licensure: Active Alabama license preferred; IMLC candidates may be considered.
- Credentialing:
- Standard timeline: ~90 days.
- Expedited privileges: TBD.
