Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon for a long-term locum assignment. This role emphasizes trauma care and elective total joint replacements in a collaborative environment.
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: December 2, 2024
- Duration: Up to 12 months
- Location: Vermont
- Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with late afternoon add-ons as needed.
- Possible weekend rounding and patient call (not ED call or weekend OR).
- Estimated 50/50 split between clinic and OR based on blocks and needs.
- On Call: Rotating day coverage for ED trauma cases and non-ED weekend patient/floor call.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of orthopedic trauma procedures, including fractures and bread-and-butter trauma cases.
- Conduct elective total joint replacements, including total knee and total hip surgeries.
- Collaborate with mid-level providers (no supervisory responsibilities).
Requirements:
- Fellowship: Trauma or joints fellowship preferred but not required.
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Experience: Independent practice experience required.
